WASH & Infrastructure Coordinator – Emergency Response

About the role

The WASH & Infrastructure Coordinator will lead planning, technical design and oversight of water, sanitation, hygiene and infrastructure interventions for the Nepal Flash Flood Response 2026 in Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts. The role ensures that all activities are delivered on time, meet quality and safety standards, and are resilient to earthquakes, gender and disability considerations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for design, construction, and rehabilitation of WASH facilities, shelters and related infrastructure, ensuring compliance with national and international standards.
• Coordinate assessments, community mobilization, partner NGOs and government stakeholders, and represent World Vision in district‑level WASH and shelter clusters.
• Prepare construction material specifications, cost estimates, monitor quality, and support budget preparation and financial compliance.
• Monitor project performance, conduct field visits, coach partners, and ensure timely reporting and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with at least 5 years of experience in WASH, building construction and disaster‑resilient infrastructure.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Nepali and ability to work effectively in a team.
