Business Development Officer

About the role

The Business Development Officer will support the growth of a reputable consultancy by identifying new student recruitment opportunities, building relationships with prospective students and partners, and promoting education and study‑abroad services. The role works closely with counselling, admission, visa and marketing teams to convert leads into enrolments.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities to increase student recruitment and overall company growth.
• Generate and follow up on leads via calls, messages, digital channels, events and other outreach activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with prospective students, parents, educational institutions and business partners.
• Promote the consultancy’s education, study‑abroad and related services.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Counselling, Admission, Visa, Marketing) to ensure effective lead conversion and client service.
• Support promotional campaigns, education fairs, seminars, workshops and other events.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, follow‑ups and business development activities in the company system.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and potential business opportunities.
• Prepare regular reports on leads, conversions, activities and performance.
• Achieve assigned targets and contribute to the organization’s overall growth.

Required profile

• Knowledge of business development, sales, customer service and relationship management.
• Understanding of education and study‑abroad services and market trends.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to generate leads, build relationships and convert opportunities.
• Excellent follow‑up, organization and time‑management skills.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
