Accountant – Manage Branch Financial Operations

About the role

The Accountant will oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities for an assigned branch, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting transactions such as sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses and journal entries.
• Verify invoices, bills, vouchers and supporting documents before processing.
• Maintain accurate customer, supplier, cash, bank and general ledger records.
• Monitor customer outstanding balances and coordinate collections with relevant teams.
• Process supplier bills and payments according to approved procedures.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure proper VAT, TDS and other statutory documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in automobile, heavy equipment, trading or branch operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting software/ERP systems.
• Knowledge of VAT and TDS compliance.
• Bank reconciliation expertise.
• Strong general accounting practices.
