Chef de Partie – Nepali Cuisine

About the role

Bagaichā is seeking a passionate Chef de Partie to join its Nepali restaurant, The Himalayan Kitchen. You will be responsible for preparing authentic Nepali dishes, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation, and supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook authentic Nepali dishes according to standardized recipes.
• Manage an assigned kitchen section independently, ensuring timely service.
• Maintain food quality, freshness, portion control, and presentation standards.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations, including HACCP.
• Monitor stock levels, report inventory needs, and minimize waste through proper storage and FIFO rotation.
• Supervise and guide Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants as required.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is cleaned, maintained, and used correctly.
• Assist in menu development and seasonal specials.
• Coordinate with the service team for smooth kitchen operations during service.

Required profile

• Culinary diploma or relevant professional training (preferred).
• 2–4 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or Senior Commis Chef.
• Experience with authentic Nepali cuisine is highly preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and communication skills.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and leadership ability to supervise junior staff.
