External Engagement and Strategy Trainee

About the role

World Vision International Nepal is offering a one‑year External Engagement and Strategy Traineeship. The role supports the advocacy, communications and partnership team in generating evidence from the field, enhancing the organisation’s reputation and connecting with communities and donors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the ENOUGH advocacy campaign.
• Collect, document and package field stories, photos and videos for social‑media, website and publication use.
• Support the communications team in preparing and posting content on WVI Nepal’s social‑media channels and tracking media mentions.
• Maintain partnership records, update the partner database and coordinate partner award events.
• Provide administrative and secretarial support for advocacy and partnership activities, including meeting minutes and logistics.
• Help organise and disseminate evidence‑based resources for advocacy and fundraising purposes.

Required profile

• Recent graduate from a Nepali university.
• Strong interest in advocacy, communications, partnership development and humanitarian work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Nepali.
• Ability to work collaboratively with field staff, NGOs and partner organisations.
• Detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple administrative tasks.
