Finance Manager – Head of Finance & Accounts

About the role

The Finance Manager will act as the financial lead for three business verticals – Retail & Ecommerce, a Chemical Factory, and Technology‑driven Mobility Solutions. Reporting to the Executive Director, the role ensures accurate, compliant and timely financial operations across all units.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounting, taxation, compliance, monthly closing, audit, payroll and vendor management for all three verticals.
• Prepare consolidated MIS, financial statements, cash‑flow reports and budgets, monitoring variances to support strategic decisions.
• Oversee retail and ecommerce revenue reconciliation, inventory accounting, cost of goods sold and outlet profitability.
• Handle import accounting, landed‑cost calculations, VAT, excise and other statutory compliance for the manufacturing unit.
• Recognise revenue for technology services, maintain fixed‑asset registers and support financial planning for tech investments.
• Coordinate with statutory, internal and tax auditors to ensure clean audit reports and implement recommendations.
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team, assigning responsibilities and building a strong finance culture.

Required profile

• Education: CA / semi‑qualified CA or Master’s degree in Management with a focus on Accounting/Finance.
• Experience: Minimum 5 + years of relevant finance/accounting experience.
• Industry preference: Experience in manufacturing, retail/e‑commerce or multi‑business corporate accounting is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Nepalese accounting standards, taxation, VAT and TDS compliance.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Tally ERP, SAP or similar.
• Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills.
• Experience with import documentation (LC, PI) and factory accounting.
