Hotel Management Software Consultant – PMS & Hospitality Tech Advisor

About the role

SMTECH TECHNOLOGY is seeking an experienced Hotel Management Software Consultant to guide the expansion of its Smart ERP hotel module. The consultant will work remotely or on‑site in Kathmandu, providing expert advice on PMS functionality, OTA integration, and overall system architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Review the current hotel management module and benchmark it against leading PMS solutions (e.g., Oracle OPERA, Mews, Cloudbeds, IDS Next, Protel).
• Identify feature gaps and prioritize must‑have versus nice‑to‑have functionalities based on real hotel operations.
• Advise on system architecture, data flow, and integration points between PMS, POS, channel manager, and accounting.
• Define the OTA channel manager integration strategy, evaluating API partnerships.
• Provide ongoing consultation throughout development, including spec reviews, workflow testing, and developer support.
• Recommend efficient approaches to accelerate market readiness while avoiding unnecessary delays.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in hotel operations (e.g., General Manager, Revenue Manager, Front Office or Operations leadership) or proven work on hotel PMS/booking system implementations.
• Familiarity with OTA integrations, channel managers, and rate‑parity management.
• Prior consulting experience with software or hospitality‑tech vendors is a plus.
• Knowledge of the South Asian/Nepal hospitality market is advantageous but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of leading hotel PMS platforms such as Oracle OPERA, Mews, Cloudbeds, IDS Next, Protel.
• Experience with OTA/channel manager API integrations.
• Ability to design system architecture and define data flow across PMS, POS, and accounting systems.
