Public Finance Management & Tax Experts – Fixed‑Term (Nepal)

About the role

Oxford Policy Management is seeking Nepal‑based public financial management and tax experts on a fixed‑term basis to support the Government of Nepal. The role will contribute to strengthening tax administration, digital transformation, domestic revenue mobilisation and revenue policy reforms.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and support to government institutions and counterparts.
• Support the design, development and implementation of reforms, policies, systems and processes.
• Conduct assessments, reviews, analyses and diagnostic studies to inform reform priorities.
• Offer expertise in tax administration, tax policy and legislation, revenue mobilisation, public financial management, fiscal planning and digital transformation.
• Assist in modernising institutional systems, procedures and service delivery.
• Develop strategies, frameworks, methodologies and implementation plans.
• Design and deliver training, workshops, mentoring and other capacity‑building activities.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement, public awareness and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
• Prepare technical reports, policy papers, training materials and other project deliverables.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in public finance, economics, taxation, accounting, law, public administration, management or a related discipline.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Relevant technical expertise aligned with the specific role (tax administration, public financial management, fiscal planning, etc.).
