Senior Full Stack Developer – Backend Focus

About the role

Code Mantra is building an AI‑powered education platform that serves students, parents, teachers and administrators worldwide. We are looking for a senior full‑stack developer with strong backend expertise to design, build and maintain scalable, secure, production‑ready systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend systems and REST APIs.
• Build secure authentication, authorization and API security mechanisms.
• Design database schemas, optimize queries and improve application performance.
• Contribute to frontend development and deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Participate in system architecture decisions and technical road‑mapping.
• Troubleshoot production issues and enhance system reliability.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor team members as needed.
• Collaborate closely with founders, product, design and engineering teams.
• Own features from concept through deployment.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong backend development and system design expertise.
• Proven track record building and maintaining production‑ready applications.
• Experience designing APIs and scalable backend architectures.
• Background with D2C products such as SaaS, EdTech, e‑commerce or subscription services.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical deliverables.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and decision‑making skills.
