Senior Study Abroad Counsellor – USA/Canada

About the role

Global Hub Educational Network (GHEN) is seeking a Senior Counsellor to lead its USA and Canada study‑abroad services from its Kathmandu office. You will guide Nepali students through every step of the application journey, from programme selection to visa approval.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct one‑on‑one counselling sessions to assess student profiles and recommend suitable universities and programmes in the United States and Canada.
• Manage end‑to‑end application workflows, including document preparation, deadline tracking, and coordination with partner institutions.
• Organise information sessions and outreach events for students and parents.
• Maintain accurate student records in the CRM/student‑management system.
• Collaborate with the counselling team to continuously improve service quality and ensure ethical, transparent guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Counseling, Management or a related field.
• Strong counselling and advising experience focused on USA/Canada higher‑education pathways.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Nepali; additional languages are a plus.
• Proven ability to handle multiple student cases, meet strict deadlines and keep detailed records.
• Team‑player attitude with a commitment to ethical counselling practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
• Experience using CRM or student‑management systems.
• Research skills for up‑to‑date admission and visa information.
