Sous Chef (Indian Cuisine)

About the role

Hyatt Centric Kathmandu is seeking a talented Sous Chef specialized in Indian cuisine to lead its kitchen operations. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality dishes while maintaining brand standards and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations in line with Hyatt International’s corporate strategies and brand standards.
• Manage the assigned kitchen as an independent profit centre, controlling costs and operating within budget.
• Ensure maximum guest satisfaction through consistent food quality and service.
• Maintain compliance with kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with staff to meet employee, guest, and owner expectations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Sous Chef in a reputable hotel or restaurant, preferably within luxury international brands.
• Formal qualification in Kitchen Production or Management is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene and occupational health and safety standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with a recipe maintenance system.
