South Korea Academic Counselor

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and student‑focused Academic Counselor to guide prospective students interested in studying in South Korea. You will provide accurate information on Korean universities, programmes, admission requirements, scholarships, language tests and visa procedures, supporting candidates from initial inquiry through enrolment.

Key responsibilities

• Advise students and parents on study opportunities in South Korea, matching academic backgrounds and career goals with suitable institutions.
• Provide up‑to‑date details on undergraduate, postgraduate, language and pathway programmes, tuition fees, scholarships and living costs.
• Assist applicants in preparing and reviewing transcripts, certificates, recommendation letters, statements of purpose and other required documents.
• Coordinate application submissions, follow up with universities, and track admission decisions.
• Guide students through the South Korean student‑visa process, including documentation and interview preparation.
• Maintain regular communication with candidates and keep records current in the company’s CRM system.
• Develop and sustain relationships with Korean universities, language institutes and education partners.
• Participate in education fairs, webinars and promotional events to achieve enrollment targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Management, Counseling, International Relations, Business or a related field.
• Previous experience in overseas education counseling, preferably for South Korea.
• Strong knowledge of the South Korean higher‑education system and admission policies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM or internal record‑keeping systems.
