SRHR Budget & Costing Brief Consultant for Climate‑Resilient Maternal Care

About the role

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Nepal is seeking a National Consultant to conduct a comprehensive SRHR budget analysis and develop a costing brief for climate‑resilient maternal healthcare facilities. This short‑term consultancy will support evidence‑based planning and resource allocation for maternal health services that can withstand climate‑related challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze existing SRHR budgets and financial data related to maternal health services in Nepal.
• Identify gaps and opportunities for integrating climate‑resilience measures into facility budgeting.
• Develop a concise costing brief outlining required investments for climate‑resilient maternal healthcare infrastructure.
• Collaborate with UNFPA staff and relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment with national health strategies.
• Prepare and present findings, recommendations, and the final costing brief within the agreed timeline.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in public health, health economics, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in budget analysis, health financing, or cost‑ing for health projects.
• Familiarity with SRHR (Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights) concepts and maternal health services.
• Understanding of climate‑resilience considerations in health infrastructure.
• Excellent analytical, report‑writing, and presentation skills.
