Assistant Account Officer

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Assistant Account Officer to join our finance team at a fast‑growing e‑commerce group in Kupondole, Lalitpur. The role is central to maintaining daily financial integrity and supporting smooth interactions between vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Record all daily financial transactions – sales, purchases, banking and miscellaneous entries – using Swastik Accounting Software.
• Assist in preparing and filing VAT returns and ensure compliance with all statutory obligations.
• Act as the primary contact for debtors and vendors regarding payment reconciliations, statement inquiries and outstanding balances.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor cash flows and verify that records match physical statements.
• Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for invoices, receipts and tax documents.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Studies (BBS) or a related field.
• Prior experience in an accounting role, preferably within e‑commerce or trading.
• Familiarity with Nepalese taxation (VAT/TDS) and strong communication abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ability to work accurately under tight deadlines.
