Associate Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Software Engineer with hands‑on Laravel experience to join our web development team at Upaya. You will work on day‑to‑day development tasks, fix bugs, and implement new features under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain features using Laravel.
• Fix bugs and handle assigned tickets promptly.
• Write clean, readable code following team conventions.
• Collaborate with senior developers, QA, and product teams for clarification and testing.
• Participate in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of hands‑on Laravel (PHP) experience.
• Solid understanding of MVC architecture, Eloquent ORM, and RESTful APIs.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and ability to write efficient queries.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals.
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and grow within the team.
• Good communication skills and the ability to ask for help when needed.
