Category Head – E‑Commerce

About the role

We are looking for a senior Category Head to drive growth and profitability of our e‑commerce portfolio. The role combines strategic planning, vendor partnership, merchandising, and team leadership to ensure a competitive online offering.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category growth plans by analysing market trends, customer demand and performance data.
• Build and manage relationships with suppliers and brand partners, leading commercial negotiations on pricing, margins, rebates and promotions.
• Optimize product assortment, lifecycle management and pricing strategies to maximise category profitability while monitoring competitor activity.
• Coordinate with planning and operations to forecast demand, maintain optimal inventory levels and improve turnover.
• Lead, coach and set performance goals for the category team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in category management and e‑commerce, with a strong track record of revenue and margin growth.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities, capable of turning data insights into actionable plans.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, able to influence vendors and internal partners.
• Leadership experience managing a cross‑functional team and driving results in a fast‑paced environment.
