Chinese Translator cum Executive Assistant

About the role

The position provides Chinese language interpretation, translation, and administrative assistance to the Deputy General Manager (DGM). You will support daily communication, accompany the DGM on market visits, and handle various coordination tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret Mandarin Chinese ↔ English/Nepali during meetings, discussions, and daily interactions.
• Communicate directly with the DGM in Mandarin and convey instructions to local staff.
• Accompany the DGM to markets, shops, suppliers, factories, and meetings as needed.
• Assist with purchasing, price negotiations, product inquiries, and supplier communications.
• Translate basic documents, emails, and messaging app communications (WeChat, WhatsApp).
• Arrange transportation, hotels, restaurants, and other day‑to‑day logistics.
• Provide general administrative and coordination support while maintaining confidentiality.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the DGM.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• Strong speaking and listening ability in Mandarin Chinese.
• Good command of English and/or Nepali.
• Basic reading and writing skills in Chinese are advantageous.
• Interpersonal and communication skills with a willingness to travel locally and work flexible hours.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office and common communication applications.

What we offer

• Starting salary of NPR 40,000 per month, negotiable based on experience and language proficiency.
