Construction Manager – Hydropower Project

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead civil, hydro‑mechanical and electro‑mechanical works on a hydropower project in Pokhara. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering all construction activities on schedule while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil, hydro‑mechanical and electro‑mechanical construction activities.
• Plan work schedules, coordinate site teams and ensure timely project execution.
• Supervise tunneling, concreting, grouting, dam/weir works and powerhouse construction.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress, resources, costs and site reporting.
• Manage construction teams and resolve site‑level issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in hydropower or heavy civil/underground works.
• Strong knowledge of tunneling, dam/weir construction, concrete works and hydro‑mechanical installation.
• NEC registration in Nepal preferred or required.

Required skills

• Experience with FIDIC contracts.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Knowledge of QA/QC systems.
• Technical expertise in civil, hydro‑mechanical and electro‑mechanical construction.
