Mid-Senior Civil Design Engineer – Land Development

About the role

SSN Corporation is seeking a motivated and experienced Mid‑Senior Civil Design Engineer – Land Development for its Kathmandu office. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and coordinating civil engineering designs, construction drawings, grading plans, utility plans, and land development documentation for residential, commercial, and other development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and prepare land development plans, grading plans, utility plans, site plans, and construction documents using Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Perform and coordinate site grading, stormwater drainage, water, sanitary sewer, and other utility design for residential, commercial, and land development projects.
• Develop Civil 3D surfaces, alignments, profiles, pipe networks, grading features, and other design elements required for project delivery.
• Review and coordinate civil designs with architectural, structural, geotechnical, survey, and MEP disciplines to ensure accurate and coordinated construction documents.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, designers, surveyors, and other stakeholders to address design revisions, agency comments, RFIs, and technical issues throughout project delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in civil engineering and land development design.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, with demonstrated experience preparing grading plans, utility plans, surfaces, profiles, pipe networks, and construction documents.
• Minimum experience delivering at least three U.S.-based civil engineering or land development projects.
• Practical knowledge of site grading, stormwater drainage, water distribution, sanitary sewer, utility layouts, and related civil infrastructure.
• Ability to demonstrate previous work experience and project deliverables for U.S.-based projects.
• Familiarity with U.S. civil engineering standards, codes, and permitting requirements.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem‑solving, and project management skills.
