Construction Manager – Kathmandu

About the role

The Construction Manager will plan, budget, organise and schedule construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within cost constraints. This role oversees all phases from conception to completion while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
• Review project schedules, estimate costs and monitor daily progress.
• Ensure onsite and offsite work complies with building codes and safety regulations.
• Coordinate construction workers and subcontractors.
• Select tools, materials and equipment; track inventory.
• Meet contractual performance conditions and prepare internal/external status reports.
• Plan ahead to prevent issues and resolve emerging problems.
• Negotiate agreements, draft contracts and obtain necessary permits and licences.
• Analyse, manage and mitigate project risks.
• Maintain quality construction standards and proper techniques.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Director/COR.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from an ABET‑accredited university in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in construction project management with on‑site experience across all delivery phases.
• Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance and sign a contingency agreement with Acuity.
