Demi Chef de Partie – Indian, Continental & Asian Cuisine

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Demi Chef de Partie to join the culinary team at Crowne Plaza Kathmandu Pulchowk. The successful candidate will specialise in Indian, Continental and Asian cuisine, supporting the Chef de Partie in delivering high‑quality dishes and contributing to menu development and special events.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie with daily operations of the assigned section, ensuring timely preparation of dishes according to recipes and standards.
• Prepare and present Indian, Continental or Asian dishes with consistent taste, quality, portion, and presentation.
• Set up mise en place and ensure all required ingredients are ready for service.
• Maintain hotel quality, hygiene and food safety standards throughout food preparation and presentation.
• Support menu preparation, new dish development, seasonal offerings and special culinary requirements.
• Coordinate with Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
• Assist with banquet, conference, wedding and other event catering as needed.
• Monitor ingredient availability, quality and storage; help with stock and portion control to minimise waste.
• Keep workstation clean, organised and efficient; ensure equipment and utensils are maintained.
• Guide and support Commis Chefs and junior colleagues when required.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher qualification in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2–3 years of professional culinary experience.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment and follow standardized recipes.
