Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Group Chief Financial Officer to lead finance, planning, reporting, governance, controls and treasury across our multi‑company group operating in manufacturing, trading and mining. The CFO will partner with senior management and the Board to drive profitability, cost optimisation and robust risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present quarterly financial reports for each group company to management and the Board.
• Ensure timely, accurate accounting entries and complete financial records across all entities.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow projections and business planning.
• Oversee banking relationships, treasury operations, working capital, fund management and financing activities.
• Develop strategies to reduce interest costs and optimise overall financial expenses.
• Monitor profitability, cost structures, margins and key financial KPIs across the group.
• Conduct profitability analysis of service centres and recommend operational improvements.
• Establish strong financial controls, approval systems and checks for credit notes, sales schemes, discounts, pricing and margins.
• Lead implementation, optimisation and monitoring of ERP and CRM systems across the group.
• Manage accounts payable, receivable, inventory, fixed assets, payroll and other finance functions from a governance perspective.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, statutory requirements and corporate governance policies.
• Oversee tax planning, statutory filings, audits and regulatory reporting.
• Manage internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Develop financial policies, SOPs, internal control systems and risk‑management frameworks.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, capital expenditure proposals and major business decisions.
• Identify financial and business risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Provide management with financial analysis, business insights and recommendations for strategic decisions.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Finance & Accounts team across the group.
• Coordinate with banks, financial institutions, auditors, tax authorities, regulators and other key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years of post‑qualification experience, including significant senior finance leadership.
• Proven experience in manufacturing, trading and/or mining industries and multi‑company/group operations.
• Strong analytical capabilities and strategic financial thinking.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large finance teams and drive cross‑functional collaboration.
