Import Officer – Documentation & Clearance Coordinator

About the role

The company is looking for a detail‑oriented Import Officer to handle all import documentation, coordinate customs clearance, and support sales tracking and accounting activities across its branches. The role bridges logistics, finance and sales functions, ensuring smooth import operations and accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage import documents such as PI, CI, Packing List, TT, LC, insurance and customs paperwork.
• Prepare Pragya Pan / Pragapan Patra and other required customs clearance documents.
• Coordinate with customs agents, freight forwarders, banks and insurance providers to ensure timely clearance.
• Monitor shipment status, negotiate clearance charges and maintain proper filing of all import records.
• Track daily sales of JEEVEE and SALT branches, reconcile payments across cash, Fonepay, MoCo, card and other channels.
• Work with branch managers to resolve sales discrepancies and keep accurate branch‑wise sales and collection records.
• Record SALT sales transactions, verify data before accounting entries and support financial reconciliation.

Required profile

• Previous experience in import, logistics, trading, sales coordination or accounting.
• Knowledge of import documentation, customs clearance procedures, TT/LC and freight coordination.
• Basic accounting and reconciliation abilities.
• Strong coordination, communication, negotiation and follow‑up skills.
• Detail‑oriented with good record‑keeping and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and meet deadlines.
