Internal Audit & Compliance Officer

About the role

The Internal Audit & Compliance Officer will support the audit function by coordinating audit activities, monitoring compliance, and driving improvements in internal controls and business processes. This role works closely with auditors and business teams to ensure timely follow‑up on observations and effective implementation of corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate internal and external audit activities and act as liaison between auditors and business units.
• Maintain the annual audit calendar, track planned audits and record findings, recommendations, and action plans.
• Follow up with departments to ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor compliance with company policies, SOPs, internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Identify operational risks, control gaps and process inefficiencies, and support improvement initiatives.
• Prepare audit, compliance and follow‑up reports, trackers and dashboards for management review.

Required profile

• Semi‑qualified CA preferred; CA‑qualified or candidates eligible for ICAN/ICAI are also acceptable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, compliance, finance, operations or process improvement.
• Strong analytical, documentation and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with reporting and documentation tools.
