IT Officer

About the role

The IT Officer will ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, security and availability of all IT infrastructure, network services, communication systems and end‑user devices at Kalash Services. The role combines hands‑on technical work with clear communication to internal staff and external clients, and requires a proactive attitude and basic DevOps awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, biometric devices, IP phones and other floor equipment.
• Perform software installations, updates, patches and assist with application deployments.
• Configure and manage LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, routers, switches and firewalls to ensure optimal uptime.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal users and external clients, coordinating IT support activities.
• Track IT inventory, update asset tags and mentor junior staff or interns.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of hands‑on IT support or administration experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• Positive, proactive attitude with willingness to take ownership of incidents.
• Flexibility to work beyond regular hours during emergencies.

Required skills

• Desktop and laptop troubleshooting.
• Printer, biometric device and IP‑phone maintenance.
• Software installation, patch management and application deployment.
• LAN/WAN and Wi‑Fi network configuration.
• Router, switch and firewall administration.
• Basic familiarity with DevOps pipelines and version‑control concepts.
