Junior Video Editor

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Video Editor to produce engaging short‑form videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels. The role works a shift from 1 pm to 9 pm, Monday‑Saturday, creating end‑to‑end edits that match our brand style and platform best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Edit high‑quality vertical videos (9:16) using CapCut, ensuring smooth storytelling, pacing, captions, sound design and visual effects.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest social‑media trends, viral formats, transitions and audio templates, and integrate them into each piece.
• Experiment with new editing techniques and storytelling formats to boost performance and audience engagement.
• Review content for accuracy, quality, pacing and overall viewer experience before publication.
• Proactively suggest creative improvements, alternative edits and fresh content ideas.
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities, trending topics and fast‑paced newsroom or social‑media demands.

Required profile

• Proficiency with CapCut (advanced preferred) and experience editing vertical short‑form content for TikTok, Reels or Shorts.
• Strong sense of pacing, storytelling and current social‑media trends.
• Good communication skills, ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Curiosity and willingness to continuously learn and test new editing approaches.
