Lead Software Engineer - Frappe Framework

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to drive the design, development, and delivery of enterprise applications built on the Frappe Framework. The role blends hands‑on coding with technical leadership, ensuring high‑quality, scalable solutions for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Define architecture, coding standards, and best‑practice guidelines for Frappe‑based projects.
• Develop and customize Frappe applications and ERPNext modules, including DocTypes, workflows, permissions, scripts, reports, dashboards, and REST APIs.
• Design and implement integrations with external systems (banking, payment, HRMS, DMS) using REST APIs, webhooks, middleware, and scheduled sync.
• Lead code reviews, identify technical debt, and propose continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with PMs, BAs, QA, DevOps, and clients throughout requirement analysis, estimation, deployment, and post‑production support.
• Mentor and allocate tasks to engineering team members, conduct technical interviews, and foster knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Manage deployments with Frappe Bench, Git, Docker, Linux, and CI/CD pipelines; monitor production health and resolve incidents.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading software teams and delivering complex Frappe/ERPNext solutions.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with ability to translate business requirements into maintainable code.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
