MEAL Coordinator

About the role

The MEAL Coordinator will lead the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning function for the Nepal Flash Flood Response (NFFR) 2026 project. This role ensures that assessment, data collection, analysis, and reporting processes are robust, timely, and aligned with donor and government requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and management of MEAL systems, tools and digital platforms for the project.
• Conduct and oversee needs assessments, surveys and evaluation studies in collaboration with implementing partners.
• Develop, adapt and finalize assessment tools, digital systems and guidelines as needed.
• Analyze assessment and evaluation data, prepare findings and disseminate results to stakeholders, donors and authorities.
• Establish and maintain community feedback and response mechanisms.
• Document learning, manage beneficiary tracking and produce regular monitoring reports.
• Support the development and operationalisation of the project manual and knowledge‑management processes.
• Coordinate with the project team, national office MEAL staff and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with MEAL standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading MEAL functions in humanitarian or development projects.
• Ability to design and implement assessment tools and digital data collection systems.
• Strong analytical skills for data analysis and reporting to donors and government bodies.
• Experience working with multi‑sectoral emergency response teams.
• Excellent communication skills for sharing findings with diverse stakeholders.
