Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Associate

About the role

The MEAL Associate will support monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning activities for the Khotang RMNCAH Project and the ASRH and Telehealth Projects in Solukhumbu, ensuring high‑quality data and evidence‑based decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation of the project’s MEAL plan and ensure activities are monitored against the logical framework and donor requirements.
• Collect, verify and manage data from municipalities, health facilities, schools and community activities, maintaining indicator tracking sheets and databases.
• Coordinate with rural municipalities and health facilities to ensure timely and accurate data collection and support joint supervision visits.
• Prepare and submit activity, quarterly and annual reports, ensuring compliance with donor reporting timelines.
• Establish and manage community feedback and complaint mechanisms, integrating beneficiary input into project adaptations.
• Ensure safeguarding, PSEAH and GEDSI standards are applied in all field activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Statistics or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, research or data management.
• Proven experience developing and implementing MEAL plans and data collection tools.
• Experience working with local governments and health systems in Nepal.

Required skills

• Statistical analysis using SPSS, STATA or R.
• Mobile data collection using Kobo Toolbox or ODK.
• Data visualization and reporting.
• Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Database management and indicator tracking.
