Operations Manager – IT Division (Kathmandu)

About the role

The Operational Manager for Meshed Nepal will own the day‑to‑day running of the Kathmandu site, which is expected to grow to around 50 employees over the next two years. Reporting to the Head of Engineering & Support Operations at headquarters, the role ensures operational excellence, secure facilities, and reliable project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily site operations, coordinate teams, and handle issue escalation.
• Design and maintain a clear organisational structure with defined ownership.
• Establish consistent operating rhythms such as stand‑ups, reviews, and planning cycles.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development for the growing team.
• Track all active projects, maintain a single source of truth for status, and escalate risks early.
• Run regular reporting to HQ on capacity, delivery status, risks, and hiring progress.
• Oversee physical site security, badge access, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning.
• Manage the site operations budget, including facilities, tooling, and headcount planning.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years senior management experience, preferably overseeing 20+ people.
• Strong technical knowledge of IT and technology operations with at least 3 years in a software/technology environment.
• Proven ability to scale teams with clear accountability structures and reporting rhythms.
• Solid project and operations management discipline, comfortable handling multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Experience operating in the Nepal market, familiar with local hiring conditions and compliance.
• Familiarity with information security or operational frameworks.
