Senior Accountant – Finance & Reporting

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to lead key accounting and financial activities. The role ensures accurate reporting, proper documentation, and compliance with statutory requirements while supporting day‑to‑day financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledgers.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Record and verify sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments.
• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, monitoring outstanding payments.
• Prepare payment vouchers, receipt vouchers, journal entries, and supporting documentation.
• Support VAT, tax, TDS, and other statutory compliance activities.
• Maintain proper records of invoices, bills, purchase documents, and financial transactions.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Review financial transactions for accuracy and proper authorization.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required financial documents.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Monitor expenses, identify discrepancies, and prepare management reports.
• Ensure accounting procedures and internal controls are consistently followed.
• Guide junior accounting staff when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or a related discipline (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Understanding of taxation, VAT, TDS and statutory accounting requirements.
• Experience using accounting software.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
