Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead day‑to‑day accounting and financial operations for a riding‑gears company. The successful candidate will ensure accurate bookkeeping, statutory compliance, and timely financial reporting while supporting the finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions, ledgers, vouchers and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Handle VAT, TDS, income tax and other statutory compliance.
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, billing, collections and payments.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer and ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor inventory accounting and coordinate with store/operations.
• Assist in budgeting, cash‑flow management and financial planning.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, tax authorities and other external stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Identify discrepancies and provide financial analysis for management.
• Supervise and guide junior accounting staff as needed.

Required profile

• Semi‑CA qualification preferred; BBS/BBA/MBS or equivalent in Finance/Accounting acceptable.
• Minimum 4‑5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of Nepalese taxation, VAT, TDS and statutory compliance.
• Experience in trading, retail, distribution or motorcycle/riding‑gear businesses is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software/ERP.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
