Senior Full Stack Developer (Backend)

About the role

Code Mantra is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with deep backend expertise to design, build, and maintain production‑grade systems for its AI‑powered education platform. You will work closely with founders, product, design and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions for students, parents, teachers and administrators worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Independently design, develop and deploy backend services using Java, Spring Boot and related technologies.
• Create and secure RESTful APIs, implement authentication/authorization, and ensure API performance.
• Contribute to frontend features using React.js, Next.js, TypeScript and JavaScript when needed.
• Design and optimise database schemas in MySQL/PostgreSQL, implement caching with Redis and tune queries for performance.
• Set up containerised environments with Docker and Docker‑Compose, manage CI/CD pipelines and Linux/Nginx deployments.
• Own the full product lifecycle from concept through production, monitoring real‑user usage and handling incidents.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, primarily on backend systems.
• Proven ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables and make sound engineering decisions.
• Experience shipping production‑ready applications for direct‑to‑consumer products (SaaS, EdTech, e‑commerce, etc.).
• Strong problem‑solving mindset, quick learner and clear communicator.
