Senior Full-Stack Ruby on Rails Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Full‑Stack Ruby on Rails Engineer to help build a high‑quality, scalable global AI SaaS platform. The ideal candidate is proactive, product‑minded, technically strong, and comfortable taking ownership of production systems while collaborating with Product Managers and Team Leads in an async‑first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Ruby on Rails applications and clean APIs.
• Create frontend features, business logic, and automated tests.
• Design and optimise PostgreSQL databases, queries, indexes, and data models.
• Build and manage background processing with Sidekiq, Solid Queue, Redis, etc.
• Work with AWS, DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, and cloud infrastructure.
• Implement monitoring, logging, metrics, alerting, and production observability.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and improve reliability.
• Ensure performance, scalability, security, availability, and fault tolerance.
• Participate in Scrum/Agile practices, code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision‑making.
• Take ownership of features from development through deployment, monitoring, and support.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation and respond to critical incidents.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven ability to own features from development to production support.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working independently in an async environment.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call rotation and handle critical incidents.
• Product‑mindset focused on performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
