Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to own the design and implementation of a robust automation framework that will transform our largely manual regression testing suite into a reliable, CI/CD‑integrated solution. The role combines deep technical expertise with a quality‑first mindset and requires you to drive automation from the ground up while collaborating with development teams across Nepal and Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Design, architect, and implement a scalable test automation framework (e.g., Page Object Model, config‑driven data) for the regression suite.
• Assess existing manual test cases, prioritize automation, and convert them into maintainable scripts.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure continuous execution.
• Identify, document, and track defects to resolution, reporting coverage and progress to stakeholders.
• Establish coding standards, mentor QA team members, and participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate with developers and the Australian team to align automation strategy and priorities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years of professional software quality assurance experience.
• At least 3 + years designing and building test automation frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; relevant QA certifications are a plus.

Required skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with at least one modern automation tool (Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium) and Page Object Model design.
• API testing expertise using Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of STLC, SDLC, SQL, and database testing.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and using Git for version control.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of security testing tools (OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite) is a plus.
