Senior System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Senior System Administrator to join our IT team. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of both Linux/Unix and Windows server environments, ensuring high availability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux/Unix and Windows servers in virtual and bare‑metal environments.
• Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware, Proxmox, XCP‑ng, and XenServer.
• Configure and maintain monitoring and log management tools (Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana, Observium, ELK Stack).
• Administer backup solutions for critical servers, databases, applications, and configurations.
• Install, manage, and troubleshoot MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL, including clustering.
• Troubleshoot DNS, mail, IP blacklisting, NAT logs, and related server issues.
• Conduct security audits, apply patches, configure firewalls, and implement hardening practices.
• Maintain bare‑metal hardware (RAID controllers, iDRAC/IPMI, storage components).
• Develop basic automation scripts using Python, Bash, Perl, or PHP.
• Document infrastructure and coordinate with Network, NOC, Technical, and other teams.
• Monitor system performance and take preventive actions to reduce incidents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of production server administration experience.
• RHCSA/RHCE certification or completion of equivalent coursework is a plus.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
