Sherpa Language Transcriptionist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Sherpa Language Expert to transcribe and analyze video content in the Sherpa language. This remote contract position involves precise timestamp alignment, emotional nuance capture, and linguistic refinement.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe video content in Sherpa with exact timestamps.
• Analyze speakers' emotionality, tone, and intent.
• Edit and review transcriptions for linguistic and grammatical accuracy.
• Investigate and define conceptual meanings of Sherpa terms and expressions.
• Document grammar, vocabulary, and syntactic structures.
• Perform contextual translation, semantic evaluation, and tone analysis.

Required profile

• Fluency in Sherpa and English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in transcription, translation, or linguistic analysis of audio/video material.
• Ability to capture emotional context, speaker intent, and cultural nuances.
• Background in language research, editing, or advanced linguistic studies (highly desirable).
• Strong critical assessment skills for grammar, tone, and conceptual language aspects.
