Shift Incharge – Packaging Line Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Packaging Line (Area) Leader – Shift In‑Charge to oversee day‑to‑day operations and performance of assigned packaging lines in a high‑speed manufacturing environment. The role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant packaging operations while meeting production, quality, cost and service targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise day‑to‑day operations of assigned packaging line(s) during the shift, ensuring production plans and targets are achieved.
• Monitor line performance, productivity, downtime, waste and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Lead shift personnel, deploy manpower effectively and coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse and other departments.
• Identify and address operational issues, breakdowns, quality deviations and production losses promptly.
• Control packaging material consumption, wastage and operational costs.
• Conduct shift briefings, communicate priorities, safety requirements and operational issues.
• Analyze performance data and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, quality, cost reduction and waste elimination.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment, preferably FMCG, beverage or food.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory role such as Team Leader, Line Leader or Shift In‑Charge.
• Proven experience managing high‑speed packaging lines and production operations.
• Strong people‑management and team‑leadership abilities.
