Training Facilitator – Nutrition (Consultancy)

About the role

UNICEF Nepal is seeking an experienced Training Facilitator to lead a three‑day Master Training of Trainers on nutrition‑focused Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) in Kathmandu. The consultancy will support the national rollout of SBC capacity building aligned with Nepal’s Multi‑Sector Nutrition Plan III and related development frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Design a competency‑based SBC training package that addresses behavioural drivers, nutrition interventions, and monitoring of outcomes.
• Facilitate interactive, participatory training sessions for national and provincial trainers.
• Provide guidance on institutionalising SBC within multi‑sector nutrition systems at federal, provincial and local levels.
• Support the cascade of training to provincial events in Madhesh, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Sociology, Anthropology, Rural Development, Communications, Public Health or a related social science.
• Minimum 10 years of experience designing and delivering SBC capacity‑building programmes.
• Proven experience with behavioural science, social norms analysis, participatory facilitation, nutrition programming and equity‑focused approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government systems and multi‑stakeholder environments.
