Account & Finance Head

About the role

The Maroons Trading Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Account & Finance Head to lead the company’s accounting and finance functions. The role involves overseeing day‑to‑day accounting, managing import finance, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall accounting and finance operations for the company.
• Handle import finance and documentation, including LC, TT, and DAP transactions.
• Prepare and control pre‑costing and post‑costing of imported goods.
• Ensure timely VAT, tax and other statutory compliance.
• Prepare, review and analyse financial statements, management accounts and reports.
• Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables and perform bank reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial documentation and coordinate with banks, auditors, tax authorities and suppliers.
• Provide financial insights and reports to senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, preferably in a trading or import environment.
• Strong practical knowledge of import transactions, costing, taxation and financial reporting.
• Ability to independently manage finance and accounting functions.
