Accountant – Finance Team

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Accountant to join the Finance team at The Maroons Trading in Kathmandu. The role involves handling daily financial transactions, supporting month‑end reporting and ensuring accurate record‑keeping.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions accurately and on time.
• Prepare payment vouchers, bills, invoices, and other accounting documents.
• Maintain cash books, bank records, and financial ledgers.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and manage petty cash transactions.
• Maintain proper filing and organization of accounting documents and records.
• Follow up on payments and collect supporting financial documents.
• Enter accounting data into accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
• Provide administrative support to the Finance team and perform other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least 1 year of accounting experience.
• Motivated, detail‑oriented and reliable.
• Strong willingness to learn and contribute to daily financial operations.
