Accountant – Travel & Tour Industry

About the role

Lucky Travels and Tours is looking for a responsible and detail‑oriented Accountant to oversee daily accounting operations, ensure tax compliance and support financial reporting for its travel business.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting records, vouchers, invoices, receipts and payments.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, perform bank reconciliations and handle cash transactions.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Handle VAT, TDS, income tax and IRD‑related accounting, including timely filing of returns.
• Support internal and external audits by keeping proper documentation.
• Track travel ticket sales, refunds, commissions and related financial entries.
• Reconcile supplier, airline and customer accounts.
• Assist management with financial analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Good knowledge of Nepalese accounting standards, VAT, income tax and IRD regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
