Area Sales Manager – Hospital & Healthcare

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will drive sales of pharmaceutical and healthcare products across the assigned territory, building strong relationships with doctors, hospitals, pharmacies and distributors. The role combines market development, team leadership and compliance oversight to achieve revenue and market‑share targets.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales, collection and market‑share targets for the area.
• Prepare sales plans, forecasts and territory routes aligned with company strategy.
• Lead, coach and supervise sales officers, set targets and KPIs, and conduct joint field visits.
• Build and maintain relationships with doctors, specialists, hospital management and pharmacy owners; organise doctor visits, CMEs, medical camps and product launches.
• Manage distributors, stockists and wholesalers, monitoring performance, stock levels and credit limits.
• Ensure promotional activities comply with company policy, ethical marketing practices and Nepal’s Department of Drug Administration regulations.
• Report on sales performance, competitor activity, pricing, market feedback and adverse events; manage area budget and promotional spend.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development or area/territory management, preferably in hospital, IVF, fertility or healthcare sales.
• Strong communication, negotiation, leadership and relationship‑building skills.
• Target‑oriented with good market knowledge and analytical abilities.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
