Area Service Engineer

About the role

The Area Service Engineer will oversee and support all authorized service centres within the assigned region, ensuring consistent service quality, technical assistance, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and support daily operations of all authorized service centres in the region.
• Conduct regular visits to verify compliance with company policies, service processes and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to service technicians and workshop teams.
• Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and escalate critical issues when required.
• Coordinate with service centre managers to improve workshop productivity, service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor spare‑parts availability and work with relevant departments to minimise downtime.
• Conduct service audits, prepare inspection reports and recommend improvements.
• Organise technical training and skill‑development programmes for service centre technicians.
• Oversee warranty claim processes and ensure adherence to company warranty policies.
• Analyse service performance, identify improvement opportunities and submit periodic reports to management.
• Maintain effective communication of service updates, technical bulletins and new product information to all authorised centres.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed and workshops remain clean and organised.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in automobile service operations or workshop management.
• Experience with authorised service networks is preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repairs and maintenance.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and service‑management systems.
• Valid two‑wheeler driving licence.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
