ASP.NET Core/MVC & SQL Server Developer

About the role

SuryaJyoti Life Insurance is seeking a motivated ASP.NET Core/MVC & SQL Server Developer to join its in‑house development team in Kathmandu. You will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of core insurance applications that support the company’s growing digital services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using ASP.NET Core/MVC, C#, and SQL Server.
• Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from design to deployment.
• Design efficient database schemas, write queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Enhance, refactor, and rewrite existing codebases.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs.
• Debug, test, and maintain existing applications.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
• Take part in code reviews and promote coding standards.
• Support application deployment and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of professional experience in ASP.NET Core/MVC development.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt quickly.

Required skills

• ASP.NET Core / MVC
• C# and .NET/.NET Core
• SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, functions)
• Entity Framework Core or other ORM tools
• RESTful API design and consumption
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript (basic)
• Familiarity with React, Angular or Vue.js (preferred)
• Git or other version‑control systems
