Associate Backend Developer

About the role

AITC International is seeking a motivated Associate Backend Developer with a focus on Node.js. You will work closely with senior engineers, front‑end developers and product managers to build and improve backend services for our platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js.
• Collaborate with front‑end teams and product owners to deliver new features.
• Write clean, well‑documented code following team standards.
• Maintain and optimise SQL/NoSQL database structures.
• Debug and resolve technical issues under senior guidance.
• Participate in code reviews and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and basic DevOps tasks.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of professional backend development experience.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+) and a Node.js framework such as Express or NestJS.
• Basic experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design (GraphQL a plus).
• Knowledge of Git version control and collaborative workflows.
• Basic awareness of authentication and authorization concepts.
• Willingness to learn microservices, containerisation and CI/CD practices.
