Audit Associate

About the role

The Audit Associate will coordinate audit, tax and compliance assignments, ensuring timely completion and high‑quality documentation. This role involves direct client interaction, supervision of junior staff, and support to senior partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate audit, tax, VAT, TDS/TCS and regulatory compliance assignments.
• Prepare schedules, allocate work to junior staff and monitor deadlines.
• Review audit working papers for completeness before partner review.
• Maintain proper audit documentation, client records and digital files.
• Communicate with clients to obtain pending documents and confirmations.
• Supervise, train and guide junior audit and accounts team members.
• Develop SOPs, checklists and internal processes.
• Prepare internal MIS, progress reports and assist in financial statement and tax return preparation.
• Handle routine assignments independently with minimal supervision.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in audit, CA or professional services firms.
• Semi‑qualified CA / ACCA / CPA preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of audit and accounting processes.
• Practical understanding of taxation, VAT, TDS/TCS and regulatory filings.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Excellent documentation, organization and deadline‑management abilities.
