Business Development Officer

About the role

The Business Development Officer will drive growth for GPS Sewa’s fleet management solutions in Kathmandu and the surrounding region. Working on‑site, you will identify new opportunities, build client relationships and promote our GPS‑based technology to businesses of all sizes.

Key responsibilities

• Research and qualify potential customers in the fleet, logistics and technology sectors.
• Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals that showcase product benefits.
• Negotiate commercial terms and close sales agreements.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery.
• Monitor market trends, collect customer feedback and help refine sales strategies.
• Attend field visits, networking events and in‑person meetings to expand the client base.

Required profile

• Proven ability in new‑business development, lead generation and closing sales.
• Analytical mindset with basic finance knowledge for pricing and ROI discussions.
• Excellent communication skills for client meetings and internal collaboration.
• Customer‑service orientation and capacity to build long‑term partnerships.
• Experience in B2B/B2C sales, technology solutions or fleet/logistics sectors is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing or related field preferred.
• Proficiency with office productivity tools and CRM/sales‑tracking systems.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently on‑site in Kathmandu and manage multiple opportunities.
