Capacity Building Specialist

About the role

The Capacity Building Specialist will lead the design, implementation, monitoring, and quality assurance of Level 1 skill trainings and related capacity‑building activities under Winrock International’s energy project in Nepal. Based in Kathmandu with frequent field travel, the role supports municipalities, training institutions, and other stakeholders to deliver market‑driven, demand‑responsive training aligned with CTEVT standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement project‑supported capacity‑building and skills‑development activities.
• Develop and refine trainee selection criteria in collaboration with project partners, municipalities, and government agencies.
• Manage training service providers, ensuring alignment with CTEVT curricula and quality standards.
• Facilitate partnerships among government agencies, municipalities, training institutions, employers, and other stakeholders.
• Incorporate a social‑analysis perspective throughout all training activities.
• Support post‑training services such as skill testing, job placement facilitation, business advisory, and refresher sessions.
• Contribute to project monitoring, learning, and reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in designing and delivering skill‑training programs.
• Familiarity with CTEVT standards, curricula, and certification processes.
• Proven ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including government agencies and NGOs.
• Strong organizational and monitoring skills to ensure quality and impact.
