Cargo & Courier Sales and Marketing Officer

About the role

The Cargo & Courier Sales and Marketing Officer will drive business growth by acquiring new customers and nurturing existing relationships for international cargo, door‑to‑door delivery, and courier services. Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, you will work across B2B and B2C segments to meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities for cargo and courier services.
• Generate leads through field visits, calls, referrals, digital channels, and networking.
• Promote international cargo, courier, and door‑to‑door delivery services.
• Prepare quotations and coordinate with Operations for rates and solutions.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable cargo/courier solutions.
• Follow up on leads, quotations, bookings, and inquiries.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Coordinate with Operations, Finance, Customs, Freight, and Customer Service teams for smooth service delivery.
• Maintain records of customers, leads, sales, and follow‑ups.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities.
• Handle customer feedback and ensure timely resolution of service issues.
• Submit regular sales and marketing reports to the Department Head.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Logistics or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in sales, marketing, cargo, courier, logistics, freight forwarding or related industries (freshers with strong communication and sales skills may be considered).
• Strong communication, negotiation and customer‑handling abilities.
• Proactive, target‑oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of MS Office.
• Familiarity with digital communication tools.
